About us
Welcome to our virtual base camp.
We are a rainbow family who live and work on a sailboat.
We are three. Lucas, Mattia and Seppi.
Hey there! Let me introduce you to our
crew. Lucas, the Italian-Brazilian chef, has been whipping up dishes since he
was 16. He's traveled all over the world, exploring different cuisines and
sharing his culinary expertise. In fact, he even started his own cooking class
business called "Cooking with Lucas" and wrote two cookbooks! Even
during Covid times, Lucas continues to bring his cooking to virtual classes on
Facebook and private sessions on Zoom.
Now, let's meet Mattia, the Italian professional
masseuse. He's a master in Shiatsu and traditional Swedish massage, and he's
fluent in Italian, English, and Portuguese. During his time in Brazil, he dove
into Portuguese and studied Ayurveda. Oh, and did I mention he used to work as
a turner in a metal factory in Italy? Talk about a diverse skill set!
And last but not least, let me introduce you to Seppi,
the adorable black poodle. Seppi had a tough start in life, but he's a true
survivor. He's a little ball of energy who's always on the lookout. Don't be
fooled by his bark though, he's all talk and no bite! Seppi's a skilled rat
hunter and a great alarm dog. Once he warms up to you, he will be your friend
for life. Just do not expect him to make friends with any cats anytime soon!
Back in 2018, we made a daring decision to leave our
cozy life in Vicenza, Italy, and set off on a grand adventure. After tons of
preparation, we sold most of our stuff, learned how to sail, and embarked on
our small sailboat from Venice. Our first year of sailing took us through
Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Greece aboard our trusty Lynaes 29.
But guess what? We realized our boat was a little too snug for our liking, so
we made a detour back to Italy, sold the Lynaes, and started the hunt for a
bigger vessel. And voila! Within a month, we found our new love, a slightly
larger sailboat in Genova.
We've been cruising along breathtaking destinations
like Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Calabria, and Greece on our Moody 35. Greece
stole our hearts, and we thought, why not share our incredible seafaring
experiences with fellow adventure seekers? So we came up with the idea of
organizing small charters to let people in on the fun while also helping us keep
our sailboat afloat.
Our way of life is all about simplicity. We go with
the flow, sailing when the wind is in our favor. We adore gazing at starry
skies, moonlit nights, and the playful dance of dolphins. Exploring charming
villages is also high on our list. We're not tied down to land jobs anymore, so
we are all about saving some cash and avoiding unnecessary expenses at marinas.
We prefer dropping anchor and spending most of our time in peaceful serenity.
Safety is our top priority, so we only set sail when the weather is just right.
When it comes to our meals, we love indulging in the delicious flavors of
Mediterranean cuisine. You will often find us savoring dishes made with rice,
pasta, fresh vegetables, and fresh fish.
As we look forward to the summer of 2023, we can't
contain our excitement about the incredible opportunities awaiting fellow
adventure enthusiasts. If you're seeking a chance to embrace simplicity and
create unforgettable memories, we'd love to have you join us on our journey.
So why not hop aboard and experience the joy of
sailing, the beauty of nature, and the warmth of camaraderie? We can't wait to
share these simple and enjoyable moments with you!
